The Texas Department of Public Safety (TXDPS) requires persons applying for a concealed handgun license to take a certified Concealed Handgun License (CHL) course which consists of classroom instruction and range proficiency. The class must be taught by a certified instructor. Gunsafetx specializes in law enforcement training and Texas concealed handgun licenses.

Welcome to the Gunsafetx website. I am Officer Damon Ing, the instructor for the classes. My goal is to provide you with the confidence and ability to use a handgun. Although you are taking this course to seek the certification required by law, my hope is to see that you do so while adhering to the rules and regulations of firearms safety.
